Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Mun-heon) is presenting free music performances to fill the city center with the warmth of culture in celebration of spring.

First, the district will host the "Open Concert 'Ullim'" at Changsin Art Hall (7-5, Jibong-ro 5-gil) on March 30 at 2:00 PM, encompassing tradition and modernity, generations and genres.

The event will feature a diverse stage blending percussion performances with pop, jazz, and traditional Korean music. The percussion group Knocking, Nuevo Ensemble, Rachel Park, and Haegeum player Lee So-ye are set to captivate the audience by performing melodies familiar to everyone, including "Flying Through the Deep Night" and "Amor Fati."

On April 3 at 6:30 PM, an outdoor classical concert titled "Warm Spring Visiting Jongno Music Concert" will be held at the Cheongun Elementary School playground, themed around "Spring" and "Flowers."

Conductor Ham Shin-ik and the Symphony S.O.N.G Orchestra will participate, with soprano Oh Shin-young, violinist Song Ji-won, and bass Kim Dae-young performing as soloists. Approximately 40 orchestra members plan to convey the charm of an outdoor performance by playing pieces that capture the beauty of a spring night on a mobile wing truck stage.

In particular, this performance is being held in the open space of a school playground so that everyone can enjoy culture and the arts without any burden, and about 500 people, including local residents, Cheongun Elementary School students, and parents, will participate. It is expected to be a special time to foster harmony through music and share the atmosphere of the season.

District Mayor Jeong Mun-heon stated, "I hope this performance, prepared to mark the beginning of spring, will bring a sense of relaxation and vitality to our district residents," adding, "We will continue to consistently provide diverse opportunities so that everyone can enjoy culture and the arts close to home."
